I had never seen a linnie and many years ago, when I saw one in an issue of Bird Talk Magazine, I was fascinated. This bird interested me.
And so in 2004, the big search was on. It was not easy to find these great little birds, but I eventually bought the breeders I wanted and since, have built my own breeding lines.
Today I have several pairs of beautiful Lineolated Parakeets. I raise all colors including SF and DF Dilutes. These handfed babies make wonderful pets and tend to stay very sweet.
Linnies are playful, quiet and love to hang upside down! These birds would rather run then fly and so I encourage longer rather than taller cages for them with lots of toys.
They love to explore and chew thier toys and new ones are always exciting to them.
Linnies are great for apartments because they are usually pretty quiet.
My Linnies enjoy a nice mix of cockatiel, conure, flax seed, sunflower, millet, pellets, herb salad and dried fruit mix. I also give them limited fresh fruit and plenty of veggies. They love thier veggies!
I offer handfed babies, young adults, occassional breeder pairs and older breeders. These will be listed on the BIRDS AVAILABLE
page when they are available.
